Staying at Finca Hotel Rural Es Turó in Mallorca

April 13, 2023 No Comments

If you’re looking for a luxury stay in Mallorca with top tier amenities and an aesthetic that fits any Instagram grid, look no further! The Finca Hotel Rural Es Turó is a perfect launching pad for exploring Mallorca on a solo, girls, family, or couples trip. I visited Mallorca in February 2023, deep into their “off season”. While I wasn’t able to do any swimming on Mallorca’s iconic beaches or take a boat cruise around the island, there was still so much to see and do. My days were packed with exploring and the Finca Hotel Rural Es Turó was the perfect place to lay my head each night and recharge from all the activities. Here’s an overview of my stay at Finca Hotel Rural Es Turó!

Location

While you’re planning your trip to Mallorca, it may look like a small island. Be warned that it is much larger than it looks! I found that the Finca Hotel Rural Es Turó was in a perfect location to be a “home base” for activities on any corner of the island.

It’s located on the southern tip of the island, about a forty minute drive from the city of Palma. The selling point for me was that it was only about a fifteen minute drive from the iconic Caló des Moro and S’Almonia! Whether you’re visiting in the dead of winter or in peak summer travel, you’ll want to make sure you hit both of those at least once! If you’re looking to explore the city of Palma, it’ll be a little bit of a drive. However, the majority of it is on large highways, which makes it much easier.

Exploring the Northern and Western parts of the island will definitely be more of a haul, but so worth it and a beautiful drive every minute. You’ll definitely want to carve out an entire day to explore the small towns of Valldemossa, Deià, Sóller, and Fornalutx (to name a few).

Huge Suites

The rooms at Finca Hotel Rural Es Turó completely blew me away. While I did my fair share of research ahead of time and looked up as many photos as I could, it didn’t prepare me for what was to come. Each room at the hotel is a custom suite, each with a different design. I stayed in room #10, which was right near the restaurant, pool, and spa. I walked into a huge lobby with dressers, a daybed, and lots of beautiful décor. The bathroom was massive and had a walk-in shower that is only found in my wildest dreams. And I won’t be ashamed to admit I was so excited to also have a bidet!

The main room was divided into a living room and bedroom. The king sized bed was so comfortable, and the ceiling had beautiful dark-stained exposed beams that made me smile every time I looked at them. The decoration was so authentic Spain that every morning as I woke up, I knew I made the perfect choice in where to stay on this trip.

Pools, Spa & Outdoor Space

One of my favorite parts of staying at the Finca Hotel Rural Es Turó were the amenities! The large infinity pool was the focal point of the outdoor space, and was so beautiful to sit by and watch the sun set over the horizon at night. There were many large, comfortable pool loungers around to sit back and rest in. While it was too cold to swim during my visit, I loved sitting by the pool and relaxing at the end of each long day by curling up onto the loungers and catching up on my podcasts. It was so relaxing.

There is also an entire indoor spa on site, and all of the facilities are free to guests! The nights did get chilly in February, so once the sun set, I made my way to the spa. There was an indoor hot tub that was large enough to swim laps in. I would sit in it and relax, and then make my way to the sauna to dry off. They also had services like massages and facials if you wanted to book (for a fee) but since I was out exploring all day I was never able to take advantage. If you can, I would recommend devoting an entire day on your itinerary to relaxing on the property and enjoying all it has to offer!

Restaurant & Other Amenities

Also on site was a large indoor/outdoor restaurant for guests and visitors alike! While I never ate in the restaurant, I did spend some time after check-in sitting in the space and taking in the ambiance. They had a wood burning fireplace that was so calming to sit by while I sipped a glass of white wine. The walls were made of floor-to-ceiling windows which made for amazing views out to the infinity pool and beyond.

However, some of my favorite things about Finca Hotel Rural Es Turó were the small touches. In addition to all the other amenities, they also had bikes available for guests. You could ride these around the property, or even out on the country roads and into town for free. There is also a small spot on the driveway into the hotel that has a large chair swing and twinkling lights (perfect photo spot!).

Tip: if you plan to eat at the hotel’s restaurant for dinner, reservations are required and they must be made before their daily cut-off time. It varies day-to-day so ask the manager when you check in for more info.

Overall Vibe

Overall, the Finca Hotel Rural Es Turó has the picture-perfect, zen vibe that we all are looking for on vacation. Looking to relax by the pool? Check. Want to unwind in the spa? Check. Craving authentic Spanish food? Check. And even if you’re looking to combine relaxation with adventure? You can get that too! If anyone said they were heading to Mallorca, I’d recommend staying at Finca Hotel Rural Es Turó time and time again.
