Hi, I’m Megan!
I got bit by the travel bug when I was in my sophomore year of college. I needed an art credit so decided to sign up for a music class about The Beatles. Curriculum included learning about Liverpool, London, and England- and I became obsessed. I didn’t take my first trip abroad until 2016, where I traveled to Oslo, Copenhagen, Paris, London, and Iceland- it was quite the trip! That trip scratched me right where I itched, and I’ve been hooked ever since. I am addicted to seeing everything this world has to offer, how people around the world live, and immersing myself in different cultures.
Most of my travels are solo, and weekend or long-weekend trips. While I have a standard 9-5 job, I am fully remote so have the luxury of taking advantage of working from home, or anywhere! However, I still find myself faced with the challenge of maximizing PTO. I take full advantage of long weekends and holidays off from work. It’s a challenge I truly enjoy taking on. It’s amazing how much you can squeeze into a typical weekend!
I had a goal to visit all 50 states before my 30th birthday (in April 2022), but Covid had other plans! I’m still working on this goal, even if it takes me a little longer than I originally planned. You can keep up with my progress by clicking here, and follow along on my adventures here! America is such a beautifully diverse country and I love exploring everything that is in my own backyard. Some of my favorite memories have been driving the Road to Hana on Maui, hiking Angel’s Landing in Zion National Park, seeing the Northern Lights in Alaska, and dogsledding in Minnesota. I’m also an avid solo international traveler and have done many European countries solo! My first solo trip outside of Europe/the US was to Panama City, Panama and I look forward to stretching my comfort zone even more!
Thanks for stopping by and for following along on my travels!

Great article about crashing hotel pools. I’ve done it in Vegas, and although I’m in my 40s and it may seem irresponsible, childish, and sets a bad example for my kids, I plan on doing so in Maui next month with the whole family! I have a suggestion I’ve used before to sneak into various events: Always keep a pad of colored construction paper and a roll of thin clear tape. You can easily cut or tear the colored paper into strips and mimic any wristband at a hotel, concert, pool, etc. I mean, think about it… how many people stop and ask to read your wristband up close?
Matt just so,you know no judgement here lol’ I too am trying to figure out how to make a splash at the Westin pool. We wouldn’t mind paying for their hotel, but space is a factor and don’t want to be crammed in a 300 sq room. I did notice their wristbands have now been using the fabric kind of band. So I’ve been looking for ways to get ahold of something like this. But I did think of the blue paper wristbands as I don’t think people will be coming up to see my band.
